Alexandra Thompson is a NIHR ARC Research Fellow based within the Population Health Sciences Institute at Newcastle University.

With a background in psychology, Alexandra obtained her at PhD at Northumbria University which was focussed on examining egocentric social network aspects of older adults in relation to loneliness and psychological well-being.

Her current work has a explores loneliness, ageing, multimorbidity and mental health.
